Blue Ridge is a census-designated place (CDP) in Botetourt County, Virginia, United States. This area is known as the Birthplace of Country Music and has produced some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. However, music is but a part of the people. Some of the world's best authors have called the Blue Ridge Highlands home, not to mention some of the greatest artists.
Blue Ridge is home to four established theatres, scores of art galleries and dozens of festivals that celebrate the heritage and culture throughout the year. It also has seven state parks, the second oldest river in the world, some of the best trails in the world, and fishing and hunting that is second to none.
